Michael Beamish, Captain of the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers – the home of next year’s AIG Women’s Open – said: “Our congratulations go to Catriona Matthew on becoming the first European captain to win the Solheim Cup back-to-back and her victorious team for winning the trophy at Inverness Club in Ohio.
